I just got off the phone with my parents, and my dad was in tears. Neither of us kids were able to be there since I had to be at school and my brothers are away training, but my parents were certainly surprised and very touched. So, thank you so much for doing something so wonderful. Neither of my parents ever expected to see anything so beautiful, and that painting really means a lot to them. They personally wanted me to thank you. I hope the place in NJ received their package, or will within the next day or so. The painting of my parents arrived last Wednesday. I e-mailed you that it was intended for a very special
occasion, their 60th wedding anniversary, May 31. Sadly, my dad passed away April 15 and never viewed the portrait. It's arrival was timely, nevertheless, as it blessed our family greatly to have such a lovely portrait rendered of my mother and my dad. It will indeed remain a family treasure.

I printed out the original and painting and then photocopied and enlarged them and then put one on top of the other and looked at them through the window glass. It's as perfect as it's going to get which I think is pretty damn outstanding. I asked Paul's opinion and he said in a oil painting that size 8 by 10 it's extremely difficult to paint a portrait--he thought it was excellent. So maybe you're being a little too picky--it's not a photograph and you got to cut it some slack. As you heard, my first reaction was WOW that's great--I love it. Who knows your face as much as your mother??!! It's not as highly contrasted as the photo either which probably throws you off too. Love you so much....Mom

Hello Laura, I have received the two portraits and I have to tell you I am very impressed. In comparison with the originals it is really difficult to make a distinction. The frames are also impressive. Of course I had to rely on your expertise and I am certainly happy that I did. I am eagerly looking forward to seeing my Great-Great Grandfather. HI Laura, We just received the painting of my daughter yesterday and we are thrilled beyond belief. I wanted to drop you an e-mail to thank you once again for the beautiful painting you did for me as a Christmas gift for my brother of his two yorkies. Well, the oldest yorkie "Kiwi" just passed away about a month ago and my brother was heart broken. I am so thankful that I had the painting done for him when I did.
